87 year old grandma bought this Mercedes SE
new in 1969. I got my greasy hands on it about
8 years ago. 1969 Mercedes 280 se, 2.8 in
line 6, 180 gross horse power, dark blue leather
interior, completely original with 27,000
miles on it!!!!
Taking this auto out once a month for its
hour drive is really a pleasure. Usually it
stays covered in the garage, battery disconnected
and all the fluids kept clear. Driving this
classic Mercedes produces a feeling of being
back in time along with a sensation of going
faster than you actually are. The only thing
thats been replaced on the Merc is the master
cylinder and brake lines (got a little gummy)
over the years. Oh and a new exhaust.
Another fun thing about this car is the 2
horns, a high pitched one for the city and
a very loud one for the country. People always
say "Beautiful car" wherever i take
her. Thanks grandma!!!!!
