Comments:
Compared to the Land rover Series 3 its quite
luxurious, featuring power steering, a heater
that actually works, and an immobiliser. I'm
not quite sure if the immobiliser came as
standard with the Defender, but its a great
feature none the less.
The Land rover is very comfortable to drive
and holds the road well, it also has a good
turning circle for a 4x4 both off and on road.
The Land rover Defender can also pull very
heavy loads with ease, with constant four
wheel drive engaged, there is also a lower
geared four wheel drive for extreme conditions,
this is very handy when driving in icy conditions
in winter time.
With the Defender being a two seater there's
a huge area in the back which is really handy
for transporting animals and carrying very
large boxes etc. The Land rover is comfortable
at both low and high speeds although the downside
is that it does not have great fuel consumption,
but again its still better than the series
3 Land rover.
And finally the parts for the Land rover are
not very cheap, also the tyres £95.00+
each, but all in all I find it to be a very
sturdy and reliable vehicle.
