After driving several four wheel drives over
the years, the Suzuki Grand Vitara is not
as spacious as many of the other 4x4's I have
driven, but I must say it really is great
value for money.
The Suzuki Vitara's two litre engine is
powerful and copes well when pulling large
loads. Fuel consumption is good running
between 30 and 35 miles to the gallon. The
Vitara handles well in all conditions with
a good range of gear settings, featuring
2 wheel drive as standard and optional 4
wheel drive, high and low settings, and
there's also good ground clearance which
is very handy when off road.
The Vitara comes with Full air conditioning,
heated rear window, central locking and
heated wing mirrors, which is a great feature.
It also has two airbags, ABS breaks as standard,
full adjustment on the headlights which
is great when either the car is full of
people or towing heavy loads.
The Vitara's interior is good quality,
the boot is pretty spacious and when the
back seats are down gives plenty of room
for transporting large objects, there's
also plenty of leg room in the back for
passengers when the driver is tall.
The servicing is pretty expensive, with
the first service at eleven thousand miles
or after 8 months.
On the whole I would recommend the Vitara
